1. Acceptance of Terms

By using OpenPalette, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the application. OpenPalette is a local-first color studio provided at no cost and without warranty.

2. License

OpenPalette is open-source software released under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the software, provided that the copyright notice and permission notice are included in all copies or substantial portions of the software.

3. No Warranty

OpenPalette is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. The software runs entirely in your browser and does not transmit data to any server.

4. Data Responsibility

All data created within OpenPalette is stored locally in your browser's localStorage. You are solely responsible for backing up any palettes or configurations you wish to preserve. No data is stored on any server, and the application cannot recover data that has been cleared from your browser.

5. Service Availability

OpenPalette is an offline-first application. Once loaded, the core functionality does not depend on network connectivity or server availability. The application may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time without notice.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to misuse OpenPalette for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the application or its infrastructure. Since the application is client-side only, misuse is limited to your own device.

7. Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of OpenPalette after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
