OPENPalette

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 4, 2026

1. Our Commitment to Privacy

OpenPalette is built from the ground up as a local-first color studio. Your privacy is not an afterthought — it is the foundation of the application. No data about you, your palettes, or your usage ever leaves your device. There are no accounts, no servers, and no cloud dependencies.

2. Local-First Data Model

All data you create in OpenPalette — palette libraries, extraction history, theme preferences, and workspace state — is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This data never transmits over a network and never reaches any server. It resides solely on your device and is accessible only to you.

3. No Cloud Features

OpenPalette does not offer cloud storage, sync, backup, or any server-side functionality. There are no accounts, no authentication, no user profiles, and no cloud APIs. The application is fully self-contained in your browser.

4. What We Collect

Nothing. OpenPalette makes no network requests for analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or any form of data collection. No cookies are used. No tracking scripts are loaded. No personal information is requested, stored, or transmitted.

5. Third-Party Services

OpenPalette is hosted on Vercel, which may process standard server logs (IP address, browser type, request timestamps) in accordance with their privacy policy. No application-level data is transmitted to Vercel or any other third party.

6. Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally in your browser, you can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for OpenPalette. This can be done through your browser's developer tools or site settings panel. You may also use the “Reset All Data” option in the application's Settings tab.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the change. Material changes will also be noted in the application's release notes and changelog.
